Welcome to Hoo Farmhouse
Situated just 10 miles from the cathedral city of Canterbury, and on the edge of the village of Minster in Thanet, Kent, this Georgian farmhouse is the perfect base for your holiday or weekend break.
Hoo Farmhouse is surrounded by farmland, we have plenty of safe, off road parking by the old barn, a walled garden with sheltered seating - perfect for a pot of tea with scones, cream and jam, a tennis court and croquet lawn (moles permitting) for the energetic, fruit trees and a handful of hens.
While you are with us visit the many beautiful sandy beaches nearby. The skies are wide and uninterrupted and we really do have wonderful sunsets, J.W.M. Turner painted along this stretch of the north Kent coast.
We are close to three championship golf courses, Royal St. Georges and Prince's in Sandwich and Royal Cinque Ports in Deal. Local castles well worth a visit are Dover, Walmer, Deal and the Roman ruins at Richborough. There are spectacular walks from St. Margarets with breathtaking views of the Channel and the coast of France.
A jaunt to Whitstable to taste local oysters and fabulous fresh fish landed in the harbour or a trip to Canterbury to visit the Cathedral, browse the many varied shops and enjoy a riverside lunch can be highly recommended.
